Kindermusik Village
Children newborn - 18 months)

(6 semesters/Year-round curriculum)

A unique musical experience for parents/caregivers and newborn to 18 month old babies. Each forty-five minute class includes multiple levels of activities appropriate for lap babies, crawlers, and walkers. Activities include baby massage, warm-ups, group dances, and object/instrument exploration. Throughout the classroom experience, parents will learn how activities aid in their baby's development.
Spring 2008 Curriculum: Cock-A- doodle- MOO / Dew Drops. Cock-A- doodle- MOO introduces delightful songs, movement activities, and vocal play related to the farm, including “Old MacDonald,” “Hayride,” and “Clever Cows.” In Dew Drops families will play and move together to songs about flowers, such as “Jasmine Flower,” “How Does Your Garden Grow” and “White Coral Bells.” They will also hear traditional Irish music: they’ll dance a jig, move to the “Irish Trot,” and exercise to “Did You Ever See a Lassie.”

Kindermusik Our Time
(Children 18 months - 3½ years
4 semesters/Academic Year in combination with Kindermusik Adventures Curriculum during the Summer Semesters

A very special bonding time for toddlers and their parents/caregivers to share a fun-filled half hour class of musical activities: singing, dancing, listening, and playing simple rhythm instruments. The curriculum is specially crafted to support the child’s total development: cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development areas. Home Materials include a home activity book, two children’s literature books, two harmonicas, two compact discs, and a train carry box. Spring 2008 Curriculum: Away We Go explores the exciting world of things that go. You and your child will dance and sing about trains, buses, airplanes and much more!
Kindermusik Imagine That!
Children 3½ - 5 years
4 semesters/Academic Year in combination with Kindermusik Adventures Curriculum during the Summer Semesters
Imagine That! explores a variety of musical and imaginative adventures. The blend of singing, playing musical instruments, movement activities, and literature, will help your child learn about music as well as socialization, creativity, memory, self control and listening skills. Spring 2008 Curriculum: Toys I Make, Trips I Take leads the child on a magical journey into a remarkable toy shop filled with boats, balls, trains, jack-in-the-box and many other toys that bring a glimmer into a child’s eyes. The home materials include two CDs, two movement and music books, a drum, a pretend play set, a family activity book, and an Imagine That! Backpack. This class meets once a week for a forty-five minute session. The last 10 minutes of class is Family Sharing Time - parents and siblings are invited!
Kindermusik for the Young Child
Children 4½ - 7 years

2 semesters/Academic Year in combination with Kindermusik Adventures Curriculum during the Summer Semesters

Your child will delight in singing, playing percussion instruments, listening and moving to music. Designed as a two-semester sequential curriculum, in Young Child students will play a glockenspiel and be introduced to reading and writing music. This sixty-minute class is an excellent preparation for private music instruction and further arts training. The last 10 minutes of class is Family Sharing Time – parents and siblings are invited!
