Claude Anet (Jean Schopfer) [1868-1931] Jean Schopfer was born in Switzerland in 1868 and educated at the Sorbonne and the École du Louvre in Paris. In addition to his talents as a writer, Schopfer in 1892 won the tennis championship of France. He wrote the first of his many books in 1899. For most of his travel books and novels he used the pen name, Claude Anet. During the first World War a Paris journal sent him to Russia, and that trip resulted in his four-volume work, La Révolution Russe. Hijo del Tiempo, cuyo titulo original era El niño feo,es la historia de un niño de 40.000 años, que es traído de la prehistoria hasta nuestros días, por los científicos de Estasis, para ser estudiado, pero un niño no puede estar solo necesita que lo cuiden, para lo que contratan a la enfermera Edith Fellowes, que se acaba encariñando con él, de las relaciones de estos personajes nacerá la novela, ya que los experimentos no duran eternamente. La novela esta estructurada como dos historias paralelas por un lado, la prehistoria y la relaci"n de los neandertales con los Otros, y por otro lado la actualidad con el Doctor Hoskins, jefe del proyecto y la enfermera Fellows. Está novela es una de las que una vez escrita por Asimov, fue revisada posteriormente por Robert Silverberg, sin que en mi opini"n está revisión incorpore nada destacable.
