Alps Iceman put inside chilly case at Italy museum
BOLZANO, Italy (AP) A 5,300-year-old Bronze Age hunter went on display Saturday in a museum created in his honor in the northern city of Bolzano.
Hundreds of people lined up for the museum opening and their first glimpse of the Iceman in his special, refrigerated case.
Among them were the two German tourists who found the Iceman in an Alpine glacier in 1991, surrounded by tools, including a copper ax and a stone dagger. He is one of the best-preserved frozen mummies in the world.
