Maigret Bibliography - 12/31/07

Indexes

The 103 novels and stories listed here comprise all the Maigrets published under Simenon's own name. Novels are listed with red titles, stories with green. (The four pseudonymous novels including Maigret are discussed here.)
The arrangement of this list is chronological by publication date of the original French edition, and the numbering corresponds to that used by Jean Forest in his Les Archives Maigret (U. Montréal 1994).
After each title is a small 3-letter code, like (LET). Clicking on that code will bring you to the plot summary for that title. These same codes are used below as an index to this page.
The bracketed "Y" numbers ([Y:9]) correspond to the numbering used in Trudee Young's Georges Simenon: A checklist of his "Maigret" and other mystery novels... (Scarecrow Press 1976). The small number at the end of the French listing is the Tout Simenon volume number. An explanation of the listings of place and date of writing of the original editions is at the end of the list.
I have attempted to list all the English editions, but no doubt there are numerous omissions and other errors. Please let me know if you find any, or if you have any other comments.
A simplified "checklist" of all the novels can be found here.

(These 3-letter index codes are based on the French titles)
