Twenty-four bi-weekly issues of The Avatar were published from June 9, 1967 through April 26, 1968, in Boston, Massachusetts. The first 17 issues were tabloid size, 11½" x 17½", from 4 to 7 sheets (16 to 28 pages), priced at 25¢. Nos. 18 through 23 (Feb 2 through April 12, 1968) were in large newspaper format (17½" x 23") of 8-12 pages, with a tabloid "magazine" insert (16-24 pages, often un-numbered), at 35¢. (Covers shown for Nos. 18-23 are of the magazine (insert) section.) The final issue, No. 24, April 26, 1968, reverted to tabloid format (11½" x 15½"), 28 un-numbered pages, priced at 50¢.
